Like Father, Like Son

Jake will be going in for surgery on the 28th to have his tongue clipped.
The doctor was surprised at how tongue tied Jacob is.  He said that his tongue is a good possibility of why he is unable to drink out of a bottle.    Jacob will go to the surgery center, where he will be put to sleep for the surgery (the doctor is scared to do the surgery in office for six little reasons, TEETH!).

Hey Cherie, this is Scott's cousin Jana. I wanted to let you know that we had to do that exact same surgery with Jackson. We didn't discover how tongue tied he was until he was over 1. He didn't nurse, or take bottles well. Good luck with the surgery!!!!

I am so sorry Jake has to go through the surgery but it will help with his speech as well with his drinking. Sorry that fun gene was passed down... with what jana said it must be a Lewis thing:) Scott had to have the surgery twice. Once in the office and then in the hospital when he was older.
Give him an extra hug for us.

We are so excited to have you come stay with us. Your Aunt and Uncle will make you want to stay with us for a couple of years until we can also move on. :)

Both Sam & Drew had their frenulums moderately clipped when they were newbons so they could nurse. Sam will have to have his done again before braces. Seems like this gene gets passed on to the boys!
